We are excited to share an update on our recent advocacy visit to the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and the Market Women Association in Gwagwalada. On March 14th, 2024, our team had the privilege of meeting with key stakeholders in the community to discuss the importance of citizen engagement and participation in local governance.
During our visit to NURTW, we engaged with members of the union to discuss the role of transport workers in promoting civic participation and accountability. We emphasized the importance of collaboration between transport unions, government agencies, and civil society organizations to address common challenges and improve service delivery in the transport sector.
Market Women Association Meeting:
Following our engagement with NURTW, we met with representatives from the Market Women Association in Gwagwalada. We discussed the vital role that market women play in the local economy and explored opportunities for collaboration to promote transparency and accountability in market operations.
Building Partnerships for Change:
Our advocacy visit was an opportunity to build partnerships and foster collaboration with key stakeholders in Gwagwalada. By engaging with NURTW and the Market Women Association, we are laying the groundwork for future initiatives that will empower citizens and drive positive change in the community.
