LOGINaija Advocacy Visit to Ministry of Special Duties: Advancing Local Government Reforms

As part of its strategic stakeholder engagement efforts, the Speak Out Africa Initiative (SOAI), led by Lead Director Engr. Kenneth Eze, paid a high-level advocacy visit to the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs in Abuja.
This visit is part of the post-closeout activities of the LOGINaija civic-tech pilot, which seeks to strengthen transparency, digital inclusion, and grassroots accountability in Nigeria’s 774 Local Government Areas.
The SOAI delegation was received by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Onwusoro Maduka I., FNOA, AFNIProcE, alongside other key ministry officials.
Purpose of the Visit
- Presenting the LOGINaija pilot outcomes from the FCT, Abia, and Oyo States.
- Exploring opportunities for Federal-Municipal synergy on open governance and intergovernmental development.
- Seeking strategic partnerships to scale LOGINaija across 50 LGAs nationwide.
Dr. Maduka welcomed the team warmly and commended the LOGINaija initiative as a forward-looking civic innovation project. He assured the Ministry’s support in fostering synergy between local government systems and national development frameworks.
