Below are the highlights of our impactful activities during this global campaign.\n\n<br><\/font><\/p><\/span>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<span style=\"background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><font color=\"#000000\"><\/font><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><font color=\"#000000\"><strong><span style=\"color:#ff9900;\">Roadshow: International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (November 25th)<\/span>\n\n\n<\/strong><br><br><\/font><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">We launched the 16 Days of Activism with a vibrant roadshow from the Federal Secretariat to the Ministry of Women Affairs in Abuja, Nigeria. This procession was aimed at raising awareness and calling for collective action against gender-based violence.<\/span><font color=\"#000000\"><\/font><\/p><\/span><span style=\"background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><font color=\"#000000\"><br><strong>\n<span style=\"color:#ff9900;\">Advocacy Visit to the National Assembly (November 26th)<\/span>\n\n\n<\/strong><br><br>\nOn the second day, we joined the <b>Ministry of Women Affairs<\/b> in a rally to the National Assembly. Accompanied by the Honorable Minister, we advocated for enhanced legislation and enforcement of laws to protect women and girls from violence.\n<\/font><\/p><\/span>\n\n<span style=\"background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><font color=\"#000000\"><\/font><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><font color=\"#000000\"><strong><span style=\"color:#ff9900;\">X (Twitter) Space: Rethinking Power Dynamics in GBV Solutions (November 27th)<\/span>\n\n\n<\/strong><br><br><\/font><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">We hosted an X (Twitter) Space discussion titled:\n&#8220;<strong>Rethinking Power Dynamics: Community-Led Solutions to GBV through Gatekeepers and Key Stakeholders<\/strong>.&#8221;\nThe session featured sharing of strategies for grassroots solutions to GBV.\n<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><font color=\"#000000\"><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/africa_speakout\/status\/1861784606455841218\" style=\"color: rgb(255, 153, 0);\">Listen to the recorded X space session<\/a><br><br><b>\nCelebrating GBV and Women Defenders (November 29th)\n\n<\/b><br><br>\nOn this day, we honored individuals and organizations championing the fight against gender-based violence and defending the rights of women and girls. This event was a tribute to their resilience, courage, and dedication to creating a better world.\n<\/p><\/span>\n<span style=\"background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><font color=\"#000000\"><\/font><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><font color=\"#000000\"><strong><span style=\"color:#ff9900;\">Upcoming Activities\n<\/span>\n\n\n<\/strong><br><br><\/font><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><b>World AIDS Day (December 1st)\n<\/b><br>\nWe will commemorate World AIDS Day, focusing on the intersection of HIV\/AIDS and gender-based violence while spreading awareness and solidarity.\n\nSocial Media Tags: #WorldAIDSDay #EndGBV #OrangeTheWorld\n<br><br><b>\nInternational Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3rd)\n<\/b><br>\nOn this day, we\u2019ll highlight the unique challenges faced by women and girls with disabilities regarding GBV and advocate for inclusive solutions.\n\n\n<br><br><b>\nCommunity and IDP Camp Visits (December 10th)\n<\/b><br>\nTo conclude the campaign, we will visit IDP camps, villages, and schools to share messages of hope, resilience, and empowerment. These engagements will include awareness sessions and the distribution of resources to the most vulnerable.\n\n\n<br><br><b>\nWatch Out for More!\n<\/b><br>\nThe 16 Days of Activism continues with social media campaigns, impactful engagements, and activities to drive our message further.
