Introduction\n<\/strong>

\nThe principle of the separation of powers lies at the heart of democratic governance, dividing authority among three distinct branches of government; the legislative, the executive, and the judiciary. This division ensures that no single branch can monopolize power, thus maintaining a system of checks and balances. Within this framework, judicial autonomy plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the judiciary remains independent and capable of fairly upholding the rule of law without undue influence from other branches or powerful interests.

\nIt guarantees that judges can make impartial decisions based on law and facts, impartial decisions free from undue influence. Judicial autonomy is essential not only for upholding the rule of law but also for safeguarding democracy itself.
