Swing Into Action
The project carried out at Kaduna and Uyo, aimed at strengthening the role of young people as change makers in fragile settings of Nigeria via legislative modeling hinged on SDG goals. It strengthens the democratic participation of youth and Nigerian civil society in promoting just, peaceful & inclusive societies (SDG 16) as affirmed by the UN Security Council Resolution 2250.
It was conceived to address the need to place young people at the very heart of development policies and programmes to build inclusive and resilient societies in Nigeria.
The project addresses the systemic barriers that prevent young people from being fully engaged in the decision making processes that shape their futures. This is not merely about involving young people in existing structures; itβs about transforming those structures to better serve the needs and aspirations of youth.
