SOAI Secures NDPC Partnership to Strengthen Digital Data Protection under the GET-SAFE GBV Project

The Speak Out Africa Initiative (SOAI) has secured the support of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) to strengthen collaboration on digital data protection and privacy for tertiary students and local actors under the #GETSAFE GBV Project.

During the advocacy meeting, discussions centered on safeguarding personal and sensitive data in technology-driven GBV prevention systems, and promoting ethical data use across communities and campuses. The NDPC leadership reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the initiative and ensuring that technology enhances safety, dignity, and justice for all.

This partnership marks a major milestone in the GET-SAFE project’s mission to build a Nigeria where “Safe Online = Safe Offline.”
